I love the smashing of the TV screen! Our family did not realize how in bondage we were to the television until we first cut out cable and later gave away our television set. We can still watch some things online through sources such as Netflix, but the mind-numbing influence of a television that too readily stole our free time is gone. We find that even the children rarely choose to want to watch a video and prefer to play outside. For Matt and I, the choice to donate two hours to watch a movie happens about once every few months.
