When we were interviewed by an AP reporter back in December, it didn't exactly cross my mind that the story about our family would run nationally! Here is a link to an adorable pic of Anna:

Of the three media interviews we have done, I believe this one to be the most accurate with one glaring exception. We never indicated that we grow all of our own produce. Every year we learn a little more, but we would be very hungry if our backyard garden was our sole source of produce!
As we begin another season in the garden, it is my goal to keep the blog a little more up to date as our gardening journal.
It's fun to read about families with similar ideas and who are willing to try them. We're in MN and we also homeschool, tend a "large" vegetable/herb garden (on a small urban lot), grow our own grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, currants, juneberries, cherries, and plums (and harvest apples of neighbors with their permission), preserve fruits and vegetables, and grind our own wheat and corn. Our children would love to have chickens and maybe a goat, but ordinances don't allow for that right now.
We wish you all the best.

Thank you for your comment Darrik. It is nice to know that we aren't the only ones out there. My oldest is lobbying very hard for a goat, however, mom is maxed out on animals at the moment!!
